Borković wins in Slovakia

NIS Petrol by B3 Racing driver is first in ETCC overall standings after a win in Slovakiaring.

Scoring 17 points after a win in the second race and third position in the first race, the best Serbian race car driver Dušan Borković is on the first place in overall standings with 35 points and 2 wins so far this season.

In the first race Serbian champion made some great sector times but finished the race in the third position winning 6 points. He had some problems at the beginning of the race due to the broken splitter, but overtook his opponents and finished third.

Borković started the second race from sixth position but with a great start he came to third place right away. Right before the safety car Borkovic passed Pfister for the second place, in the 6th lap he finally passed Jost.

Borković showed his mental strength and didn't let anyone threaten his position and his second win in ETCC.

"Qualifying didn't go well yesterday but I have to be satisfied that i ended up third despite the tire puncture. I knew that extra kg will make a big difference in the races and that I won't be able to start as well as other in the first race rolling start.  In the first race I hit something very early and broke my splitter. I was just trying to save my tires and prayed that i finish the race. For the second race my mechanics did a great job and managed to fix the car. I pushed for the first couple of laps and got to the first position, made a gap and drove strong till the end. I am satisfied with the result and I want to thank my Nis Petrol byB3 racing, my sponsors and fans" - Borkovic said.

Next competition weekend in on 27th and 28th of June in France on Paul Ricard.
