On the third racing weekend at the legendary circuit Spa Francorchamps, Serbian race car driver Dusan Duke Borkovic continues his run for the world title with a great qualifying sessions winning his first pole position this season and scoring 5 new points. He finished the first race in the 3rd position, and now has 47 points and is 6th in the overall standings.

Borkovic continued great driving from the qualifying in the first race few hours later. After not such a good start when Aku Pelinen and Pepe Oriola passed him he saved his third position till the end of the race so the best Serbian race car driver got to the podium for the second time this season. Borkovic had a great pace and times through the whole race especially in sectors one and three.

„After all the bad luck in Portugal this is really a great start of the weekend on my favorite circuit and one of the hardest in the world. My B3 racing team managed to fix the car after the crashes in Estoril. Again, I didn’t start well and it is something we’ve been constantly working and I’m hoping we will get better at as the season progresses. We were careful this weekend and focused to have the best possible car for qualifying. I know this circuit and I enjoy it’s challenges, but I also know how dangerous it can be. When the driver is the fastest it means he is on the limit and can run out. There were a few incidents today. I am glad that my teammate Attila Tassi is ok after his terrible crash. And I hope I will be even better tomorrow.” – Borkovic said after race 1.

Serbian champion will start 10th due to the reverse start by qualifying results in race 2 tomorrow at 12:30CET

Starting from the weekend in Belgium Gregory Guilvert and Jimmy Clairet in Sebastian Loeb racing Peugeots, as well as a Belgium driver Pierre Yves Corthals and Finish Antti Buri joined TCR International series. Alfa Romeo and Subaru are working on their cars and not competing for the moment.
