According to the organizers' announcement, the first racing weekend should be held in Croatia on July 25 and 26, at the Grobnik track. A total of eight races are planned within the championship over four racing weekends.
"In these circumstances, the choice of the championship was, among other things, mostly conditioned by the proximity of my home and the realistic possibility to reach the tracks without additional complications. This is a situation that none of us has found ourselves in so far and it took time to understand what is happening to us and to adjust our lives to these new circumstances. The most important thing for me is that I don’t have a competitive break this year, and again not to endanger the health of myself, my team or my loved ones," said Borković.
After winning titles and successful seasons in TCR International and TCR Europe, FIA WTCC and ETCC championships, Borković wanted to support this regional TCR series, as well as all its participants. In addition to the racing weekend at Grobnik, the organizers also left Slovakiaring (21-23.8.), Brno (4-6.9.) in the calendar, and the final is planned at Hungaroring (17-18.10.).
"I sincerely hope that this calendar will not change and that we will be able to drive these eight races. I miss the track and the competitive adrenaline. I am absolutely ready for new challenges." Borkovic added.
