During the qualifications, Borkovic achieved a better time than his teammates, but their average in the opinion of Borkovic was not good enough. In addition to a challenging qualifying, the Argentinian driver received a penalty and Madpanda Mercedes lost three starting positions. It was the Serbian race car driver who did the first stint and started the race with 52 cars on the grid. Madpanda driver got off to a great start and finished his hour by advancing 12 positions.
"It was a very exciting and stressful weekend. Everything is new to me, starting with the car, endurance, new rules, etc. The three of us drive one car and it is a big challenge to make a set up that will suit your trio. We need to hit all aspects of this complicated technical sport, and endurance is a league of it’s own in the world of racing." said Borkovic.
It is interesting that regardless of his height, Borkovic managed to make the fastest driver change with his teammate Sean Walkinshaw, who drove the second hour of the race. Let us remind you that entering the box for changing drivers, refueling and changing tires takes only 40 seconds.

"I am happy that together with my NIS Petrol Racing Team I managed to be here, to represent Serbia and drive with the legend Valentino Rossi and many other amazing drivers.” concluded Borkovic.
The next challenge for Borkovic and his Madpanda Motorsport team is from 3-5 June on the Paul Ricard track in a 1000 km race.
