Borkovic's win in the first race and the second place in the second race earned him a total of 82 new points in the TCR Europe and more points for TCR World Ranking. Thus, the best Serbian race car driver secured the third position in TCR Europe’a general classification.

On Saturday, Borković won the first race at the street circuit Pau in France during the second race weekend of the TCR World Ranking which the Serbian ace drove on the TCR Europe calendar. Borković had the fastest time in the first qualifying, while he had the second fastest time in the second, securing himself a front row start from the second position in the first race. On Sunday, he started from the eighth position and won the second place with a masterful drive.

After this weekend, Borković is in the third position in the overall standings of TCR Europe behind the first-placed T. Coronel and the second-placed J. Filipi. The results of the TCR World Ranking will be announced on Wednesday at midnight due to the summary of all the results of over 1000 drivers in over 30 TCR championships worldwide.

"I am overjoyed to have brought victory and a second place to my country, fans around the world and my sponsors! It is an incredible feeling to stand on the podium next to such a great competition. Considering that it was my first time driving on this extremely challenging street track, I wasn't expecting such a good result, but my team and I did our best and achieved this incredible success. Racing is a very complex, technical sport. There are a million unpredictable details that need to be taken care of, but this time everything was really perfect and I brought two big victories to my little Serbia from France, which means a lot to me," said the winner, Dušan Borković.

After a very exciting second race, our champion once again reflected on the most interesting moments and duels.

"I started the first race from the second position and quickly broke into the first place, which I managed to keep until the end of the race under enormous pressure from amazing Pauwels." I started the second race with the aim to gain points, finish the race and save the car in order to move up in the general classification. At the very start, I had a situation where Pauwels tried to push me into the wall, but I didn't give in to him and got out of that duel ahead of him. In the following laps, I managed to tactically pass two competitors which was followed by a duel with J. Filippi for the second place. I got a chance and I took a risk, luckily it paid off and it got me into the second position. My winning mentality did not allow me to stop there and I had to try to attack Coronel as well. I was on the heels of the first-placed T. Coronel for the rest of the race. On several occasions, I attacked for the first position, but the speed of the Audi on the straights did not allow me to do so," said Borković after the second race.

Serbian ace thanked his most faithful followers, his family, Serbia and partners for their continuous support. He sent a special thank you to the NIS Petrol Racing Team, Team Borković, Target Competition team and Hyundai Motorsport, without whom this success would not have been possible.

Our ace is waiting for the next race at the legendary Spa Francorchamps track in Belgium on 26-28. May. Live broadcast of the races will be on RTS channels, TCR TV app and many national channels around the world.
