Dušan Borković, The best Serbian and Balkan race car driver, as well as a competitor in the FIA TCR World Tour, has become the first European to fly in the XPENG flying car during his visit to China! Thanks to his efforts, top executives from the Chinese company XPENG, led by XPENG Motors and XPENG AeroHT leadership, visited Serbia and met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to discuss potential investment opportunities and technological cooperation.

Borković has repeatedly demonstrated his pivotal role in linking Serbia with cutting-edge technology leaders. He has visited XPENG multiple times, including a visit in November following his victory at the 71st Macau Grand Prix during the FIA TCR World Tour.
“It is a great honor for me to serve as a bridge between Serbia and one of the world’s most innovative companies. XPENG is not just a leader in technological advancements but also a potential strategic partner for Serbia, particularly as we move towards the future and prepare for our biggest project, EXPO2027 Belgrade. I am proud that we have opened doors for collaboration that could bring significant progress to our country,” said Borković.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić welcomed the Chinese delegation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening both friendly and business relations with China.

I am impressed by their vision and the innovations these flying cars bring—pushing the limits of what’s possible and ushering in a new era of transportation. Through EXPO2027 Belgrade, Serbia will have the opportunity to stand among the leading nations proving that no vision is unattainable. During their visit, the XPENG delegation showcased their groundbreaking achievements in autonomous driving and flying vehicle technology. With his expertise in automotive innovations, Borković continues to bridge the gap between China and the Serbian government, facilitating a deeper understanding of these cutting-edge technologies. Discussions included potential investments in Serbia, collaboration on the national EXPO2027 project in Belgrade, and the possibility of introducing these futuristic vehicles to the Serbian market.
