BORKOVIĆ FIGHTS THROUGH BAD LUCK IN PORTUGAL

The best Serbian race car driver Dušan Borković finished 12th in race one and didn’t finish race two due to the crash when Borkovic hit his teammate Tassi’s car who slowed down in the corner because of the crash in front of him. Due to the crash in qualifying on Saturday Borkovic started both races from the back of the grid, first race from p17 and race two from p15. Borkovic is now 7th in overall standings with 27 points.

In the crash in qualifying Dusan’s car was badly damaged, front right side of the chassis and rear right wing. However B3 racing team worked all night to repair the car for the races. Borkovic had a great start in the race one and managed to pass his competitors and reach 11thposition after starting from 17. He even got uo to 10th position, but lost it in the final lap and finished 12th in race one. Serbian champion reported oversteer problems from the start of the race as well as rapid tire wearing.

Borkovic had a good start in the second race and reached 12th position but had to return to box after the crash.

“I am really disappointed. We worked hard to improve up to qualifying. I was fast and i showed it in fp2, but the feeling of the car and the crash in the second race were unexpected. I couldn’t continue the race after the crash because of the engine problems. We still don’t know why I have this much oversteer but I hope with the information from the races and the test and we will be more prepared for the next racing weekend and the rest of the season. We have 18 more races ahead of us. The first one is in Belgium. I love Spa Francorchamps circuit and am looking forward for the races there.” – Borković said after the races.
