Borkovic said that he considers Italian and Georgian offer a challenge because of their ambitions for Alfa in this TCR International season.
"Georgian team and Romeo Ferraris have set a plan that was really trustworthy and appealing to me. At this moment it is clear that I am going to compete in Alfa this season but they have longterm ambitions as well. Alfa has few things to work on even during the season, but I have confidence with the Italian team that developed this car who will also take care of the car as a part of the Georgian team. I feel a great responsibility and a challenge to be improving and upgrading the car with this team throughout this season. Alfa is still not on the VW group or Honda Civic level but it has a great potential and a bright future. As always, I will fight to score the best possible results in each race this season“, Borković said.

Georgia has it's own team for the first time and they showed a great interest in the Serbian champion.
"Mutual trust with Alfa, Georgian team and my team mate Kajaia brought me to this team. Preparation for the season is going well so far. They are very serious about this season and there was no dilemma for me about the level of their commitment. Another important thing is that Davit Kajaia is my team mate. He is a great guy and a talented driver. Everybody in the racing world knows how important the energy within the team is “, Borković added.
Michela Cerruti welcomed Dusan in the name of Romeo Ferraris:
“In the last two years we have been working extremely hard to bring Alfa Romeo back to its success in Motor Racing. We chose to chase our goal in TCR International Championship, because it is the ideal ground for manufacturers to test their limits and compete against each other all over the World. Today we are very excited about the start of the upcoming season and, as Romeo Ferraris, we can only be proud that Georgian Government and Mia Force have decided to invest in our product and to support their strongest national driver, Davit Kajaia, putting him at the wheels of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV TCR, that he drove already with success in the TCR Middle East Championship. In addition to this, the choice of calling Dusan Borkovic to drive the second car is for us another guarantee to achieve important results during the season. Together with having the right speed and sensitivity, he is an incredible fighter and a very good team player. We are sure that his experience and his performance will be a fundamental additional value to the team. GE-Force has now two quick drivers who can perfectly work together in the same direction and for sure we will give them the maximum support to reach the higher step of the podium” - Cerruti said.
TCR Internation season starts April 2nd in Georgia on Rustavi circuit and will have 10 racing weekends and 20 races. Season finale is on November 26th in Abu Dhabi alongside Formula 1.
"I am familiar with half of the circuits and the other half I will learn at the races :) I will do my best this season, as always, but there are many factors that need to match my effort to succeed. You can be a great driver and have a great team and the car but a lot of things must align in racing for the good result. Apart from just pure racing, I am proud to also promote my country Serbia and my sponsors as always “- Borković added.
