The tests were the perfect opportunity for strength comparison before the season, and as expected Citroen, the team for which rally legend Sebastian Loeb will debut, showed the most.
Dušan Borković was among the drivers who didn’t have the opportunity to test because there weren’t enough time for all the cars to be ready and adapted because of this season’s new technical regulations.
- I’m glad to had the opportunity to see Chevrolet in action, of course I would have loved to had tested my car – said Borković after returning from Spain.
His team mate this season will be Hugo Valente, who tested the Chevrolet in Valencia.
- I’ve met with my team mate for the first time. He drove Chevy for two days in Valencia and it was important for me to see Chevrolet’s parameters on the track. It was the first test for Chevrolet and we are really pleased with the results. The thing is that everybody except Citroen got “finished cars” and tested very late before the season. This whole year will be a big test for all of us, especially for me, this is my first WTCC season. Along with Sebastian Loeb I’m the only debutant – Dušan said.
First Serb in WTCC will compete for Campos racing team as NIS Petrol by Campos racing .
- Campos racing is a great team. We had a great cooperation last year and we just expanded it this year and thanks to them I have the opportunity to be one of the drivers in WTCC. We bonded and started making a tactic for the season and all the races. I’m really excited to have Joan Orus as my engineer. He is a great expert and he is a part of WTCC from the beginning. I will learn a lot from him during the season – Borković was exited to say.
Tall Serb owes a great gratitude to RML factory, that will take care of his Chevrolet.
- RML was present at the tests so they can see off all performances of the new Chevy. An engineer in charge of RML engine will also be a part of my team. I had to leave the tests on Friday the 21st of March so I could adjust the seat in my car together with RML engineers in England. I have a tiny problem because of my 207 cm fitting in my Chevy #3 TC1 car – Dušan explained.

- We were amazed with their ambition to improve consciousness about WTCC. They are even making a video game featuring my car with all the branding among the others – Borković said.
After his visit to London, Dušan will test in Belgium and France till the end of March and after that he is leaving to Morocco for this season’s first race on April the 13th.
