Borković enters TCR international with the new number 62 Featured

Current ETCC champion and the best Serbian race car driver Dušan DUKE Borković will enter TCR international with his old team B3 racing from Hungary, but with a new number. Duke will switch from his 98 he used for past two years to the number 62, with which he started his racing career in karting in ’94 when he was 9 years old.

"The reason I decided to change the number is to mark the new start and continuation of my 22 year old career in an innovative TCR international series. I wanted everything to be new but also symbolic for me. With this number I started my two decade long career and I won my first title with it. This change also has a sentimental meaning for me. My late father competed in the truck races in 1993 with this number, and that was my first contact with racing. I got hooked and started my racing career, first in karting for 7 years where I won 6 national titles. Everybody knows that my father was my idol and a role model. Now, 22 years later I want to drive with that number and I hope it brings me luck” – Borković said.

B3 racing team is finishing all the preparations with new Seat Leon, and Borković is training hard and preparing as well with a professional race kart on the circuits in Serbia and Europe. End of March Serbian champion is going to Bahrain where TCR international season launches on April 3rd.

"As far as I am concerned championship can start. I am really excited since everything is new to me once more, but on the other side I feel I am more prepared than ever.” – Borković concluded.
