Dušan Borković, the best Serbian and Balkan race car driver, brought Serbia its first-ever world victory at the FIA TCR World Championship on the world’s most dangerous street circuit in Macau. Starting the second race from fourth position among the 32 best drivers in the world, Borković began an impressive series of overtakes by the fifth lap, overtaking all rivals ahead of him by the seventh lap. With a phenomenal performance, he claimed a dominant victory at the 71st Macau Grand Prix.

“I’m overjoyed! I’m speechless. This is the biggest success of my career. Not only is this the first victory for a Serbian driver in an FIA World Championship, but it’s also a victory at the 71st Macau Grand Prix. As a child, I could only dream of this! A big thank you to all my fans, my family, my team, and my teammates Esteban Guerrieri and Marco Butti, with whom I shared the podium today. Huge thanks to my sponsors and my Serbia for their support. We did it! We’ve made history for Serbian and world sports!” said our champion.

Congratulations and messages on this remarkable achievement are pouring in from around the world, including messages of support from colleagues he has shared the track with over the years and those he competed against this season. Borković’s triumph is a testament to his unwavering dedication and outstanding professionalism in motorsports.

“I want to congratulate Dušan Borković, my great friend. I know what it’s like to come from a small community where our sport isn’t widely recognized and achieve results at such a high level. What Dušan has done today is an incredible success, especially in Macau. I’m overjoyed that we are here together, sharing our victories!” said Hungarian Norbert Michelisz, this year’s and last year’s FIA World Champion.

Borković’s triumph in Macau has not only made Serbia proud but has also set new standards for domestic and regional motorsports. His victory symbolizes persistence, dedication, and incredible talent, proving that dreams can come true with hard work and belief in success.
