Competition weekend in Singapore is alongside Formula 1,which is the reason there was only one 25 minute qualifying session today in which Serbian champion finished in the 6th position but was penalized with totalof 11 drivers for not respecting the track limits in the qualifying. After which he ended up in the 9th position (8th for the first race due to Morbidelli's additional penalty for race 1). 

Borkovic will start from the 2nd position in race 2, which is a great chance for a podium for Serbian champion.

Borkovic started race 1 really good and with a great pace he reached 7th position in the second lap and stayed there till the end of the race with the goal to collect new points and save the car for the second race.

„I’ve reached my goal but I am not satisfied. It is the most important thing to preserve the car on the street circuits and it was my goal considering I start from the first row tomorrow. This is the new circuit for me. I had troubles with the set up and a lot of understeer but I hope everything will be better tomorrow. I will do my best to keep my position and collect new points and win another podium this year. Atmosphere in Singapore is spectacular but weather conditions are really though with high temperatures and humidity” - Borkovic said after the first race.
